My Moris

Yes, it's true that our white sandy beaches, turquoise sea, and lush tropical nature are absolutely beautiful, but Mauritius is much more than that...

It's also 14 languages spoken on a small island in the middle of the ocean; it's the idea of founding a country from scratch; it's also the bloody history of slaves during the time of the East India Company and the resilient spirit of migrants who left India and distant regions in China to start a new life. It's the sweetness of sugar, indeed, but also the bitter taste of forced work in sugarcane fields; it's the invisible presence of ancestors who protect or cast spells, and it's also today an energetic island that constantly evolves and reinvents itself.

The desire to create "my Moris" stemmed from a love story with my island and a friendship with Maya de Salle, my anthropologist friend. We started this exciting adventure in 2014 together and became pioneers in cultural tourism in Mauritius. Starting this company allowed us to share our passion for Mauritian culture, history, and heritage with the public.

In 2014, we bet on being pioneers in cultural tourism. We have patiently built a company that offers cultural discovery activities that immerse the visitor in the history, religions, languages, crafts, and cuisines of our country.
